This walk is set to print as 2 A4 pages. If printed on two sides of one page, they form a leaflet that can be folded to pocket–size to take out on your walk.
On page 1 you will find information about getting to the walk start point, general information about walking and some snippets of historical information about Poole Harbour and the surrounding towns, villages and countryside.
On page 2 is a description of the walk and a map of the route.

A public-spirited walker reported a problem with this walk recently. Following a very wet March, a path became impassable because it was so very wet and muddy and rather overgrown.
The path is the one mentioned in the last sentence of Point 4, that is, along the back of the school tennis courts. If you are going to walk along here when there has been a lot of rain, it is worth noting the following alternative in case you get there and discover the way is impassable. Retrace your steps to Blandford Road, and turn right onto it. Pass Ashmore Avenue on your left and turn right into Highcliffe Road. Follow the road to its end and turn left onto a path, which brings you back to the walk at Point 5.
Oh dear! Some of the users of this page have found difficulty in downloading our linear walks. This seems to be related to the reader used for .pdf files. If you are getting an error message instead of our walk leaflet there are several different things you could try.
If you get a download screen before the error message, try clicking Save instead of Open and then allow the file to be saved somewhere on your computer where you can find it again. The saved file should open perfectly.
The problem seems to be with Adobe Reader version 9. A further update of this software might fix the problem.
Another method, a bit more drastic, would be to download an alternative reader such as this Foxit viewer.
Or, contact us and we will send you copies of the walks you want.
